Video - The first robotic chef in the world
It should come complete with 2,000 recipes once it'll start shipping in two years
The robotic arms in the video below could potentially cook any kind of food: according to the developers, the robotic chef should come complete with 2,000 recipes once it'll start shipping, in about two years. London's Moley Robotics hope is to start selling a first version in 2017. The cost? Around $15,000.
However everything has to be carefully layered out for the robot: it won't be able to cook anything, even if a single utensil is knocked out of place. Unfortunately this is no artificial intelligence at all: the robotic arms "just" mimic the recorded movements of Tim Anderson, a cook who won MasterChef at the age of 26.
Nevertheless, I definitely want one!
